Merry Early Christmas!

Well, it's close to 12 so it would be really close to Christmas Eve.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all of you hope my scant readers are having a nice break.

And in the midst of all the commercialism, I hope you guys remember the holiday's true meaning and are preparing for our Savior's birth.
Goodbye everyone!

Procrastination at its finest

It sucks when you don't do your homework on the weekend.

Being overwhelmed with more work during the week is counter-productive for me at least... Thinking about it makes me think of it as harder than it really is, and I end up getting WAY distracted, and finding something like this:

Hoorah! Winter Break is upon us!
Only to be consumed by SAT and AP studying... >_>

My Most Trivial Post Yet!

Wowwie, the cashier at Starbucks ACTUALLY spelled my name on the cup right when I placed my order!

Pasta Bravo < Corner Bakery

Hey all!

Happy Saturday! I'm not too active with this blog. While making one I thought I'd post more often, but I get self-conscious knowing my writing is public.

As for the entry title, it's true. Pasta Bravo is pretty mediocre. Me, the Deeter, Jessica, and her other friends Fairuz, Taylor, and brother Justin walked there only to be disappointed. Not only was the "lunch combo" second rate, but their service was of the same "ehh" quality. Getting the order mixed up, they gave me this penne with sausage when I ordered chicken Basil. I mention Corner Bakery because I was given the choice between the two. Now I know why no one goes there... And yes, this IS worth typing about...

In more relevant news,

This crazy fire be blazin' across Yorba Linda burning some rather large homes up in the hills. My prayers go out to anyone feeling the consequences. I was in Anaheim this morning, and the sky's orange-ness gave the illusion of late afternoon. Plus, I heard the giant Key Club Fall Rally was canceled due to unhealthy air. However, I'm surprised how apathetic I am to all this, especially since I used to live very close to that area. I live in a hilly area as well, and last year my family and I evacuated to the Hyatt.

Well, that's all for now.

Have a nice weekend

Shelley.

I'm actually updating!

What's up everyone. (everyone being a small, single digit amount of readers)

I haven't been posting lately, and I kind of don't want to let this blog die, so I'll try to update more frequently.

Nothing crazy going on. Enjoying my four day weekend just relaxin' with some homework time.

I went to a daily mass today with my mom and brother. Those elderly people sure are dedicated...

I read a self-help book today. You might of heard of it, it's called "Who moved my Cheese". Pretty good and universal, and short enough to take less than an hour to read. Near the end the author Spencer Johnson is pretty much advertising the book. Nevertheless, it's worth checking out.

Here's a blog I follow and have come to really, really like:
stuffkoreanmomslike.blogspot.com

Just one of those things for Korean-Americans such as myself to read and say "No way! Me too!"

and my friend Jessica made a blog that inspired to actually update mine. ^_^

Condescending

Well, I have mountains of homework, which I must complete all today.
What better time to type a new post?

Why are people so condescending?
It's something I myself am victim to do, and a victim of.
You know what I'm talking about... Someone who is of higher social stratification tends to treat those "below" him or her... as if they were really below him or her.

Is my aversion to such an attitude lack of humility?
Or being self-conscious?

Some would argue that I'm not comfortable with myself.
I mean, why should I care how others think of me?

No, I am tired of others treating me as if I lack social skills, intellect, or maturity simply on what they know face value.
But who am I kidding? Like I've said before, it's something I do to others as well.

It's the self-fulfilling prophecy. You see a kid with a t-shirt with a Warcraft logo, glasses, acne, and a skinny doesn't-exercise frame.
What do you think?
NERD.
Therefore, since you are convinced that kid is a nerd, you will treat him as if he were one.

Anyway, I'm just a naive teen typing things you probably know.
I should go now.

In the words of my mother, I should "Stop worrying about these things and do your homework".

New Computer

Hoo-ray, it's Friday.

These entries sure are exciting...

So I got a new Compaq PC with Windows Vista yesterday.
Good or bad?
I've heard many complain about the software, some enough to downgrade to XP. 0_0

I've heard many complain about the software.
Oh, and check out stuffkoreanmomslike.blogspot.com

Now,

Not a Good Day

Ah, the convenience of cell phones.

Anyway, Do you have one of those days, where you keep messing up and going through the day like a bumbling idiot, no matter how hard your efforts are to turn it around?

Aye, I gots a tardy lockout today. And I guess it was funny, since people have been repeatedly reminding me about it >_>

Well, I have a mountain of homework.
Most of due to procrastination, of course.

I guess I'll conclude each entry with one of my signature "would you rather" questions (none made by me)

Vote for an honest but stupid politician
-OR-
a liar with tremendous savvy?

Official First Post

Hi everyone!

Mentioned in the title, this is my official first post for this new blog o' mine. I'm pretty glad that it's actually made this time, I spent WAY too much time pondering my link and blog title, hopefully that won't be in vain...
I doubt many people will be actually be reading this blog in the future, maybe even a resounding 3 regular viewers.
Regardless, after viewing Alan's blog and through the power of the google account I too wanted to create a page for rants, reflections, book/movie/music/media reviews, and just to post anything to my fancy. However, unlike Alan I aint gon' post no artwork...

I'll leave it there then, I have quite a considerable workload to do.
The PSAT is tomorrow and I wish I studied more especially since I had three prep books from my brother the year before... yarr...
And yet, I am posting on my blog... typical Shelley behavior...

That's all for now.

Goodnight!
